[ send me this essay ]
5 pages in length. As the tragic hero, Orestes is forced to come face to face with his own shortcomings, which ultimately cast upon him the tragic flaw that eventually leads to his downfall. Facing opposition from within his own being is part of the inner struggle that Orestes must addresses throughout the dialogue with his mother, Clytemnestra. The fate that governs her life also controls the actions associated with her troubled existence; being both underhanded and manipulative, Clytemnestra never dreams she would need to call upon the very depths of her heart in order to plead for her own life.
